One year ago...yesterday... we met our boy. His given name was Christian Cyusa. We named him Anderson Judah Fisher. He was 9 months old and weighed 24 lbs. Go HERE to see the original post. This year has stretched me in ways I never, never imagined. I cannot believe how rich my life is with people who have invested in us and love on our family. I am so thankful for the challenges this past year brought us, and am excited at the same time, to start a new year:). Judah fits in better now than ever. He's learning his place in the family. He's learning to love us as we learn to love him. It's pretty much just like a newborn...you don't know what you're going to get until you meet the baby, and then...you just love them!
I was a little hesitant to show Judah the video of his 'Gotcha Day', but when I put him on my lap in my office to watch it, he was glued to the computer and kept saying his name over and over. I have no idea if he remembers, but I teared up with him just watching it together, remembering all those feelings of excitement and joy the day we met him. I held him about as closely as the day I left with him in my arms from his orphanage. I'll never forget that feeling. It was so special and I'm so, so grateful for this little miracle in our lives.
