Thankful

This is just one very small reason I can be thankful. There are much more important 'small' things to be thankful for, towards the bottom of this post. I took these shots on my Canon 5D, Mark II the other night with a 50mm 1.4 lens. These images are straight out of the camera. Not one action, not one adjustment. I am thankful for my camera and lens..oh and for the sunset! I shot these off 13th and PCH while Nick pulled over and I stood on the window's edge of my door. You can see all the way to Catalina...a rare, clear day in SoCal.

And now for the even better reasons to be thankful... these are our kids with the Prince kids. We spent the other night walking around downtown Seal Beach with Jay and Carrie. They are our best friends. We have been through every facet of highs and lows in our marriages together. We have laughed till we cried together and we have cried till we laughed together. We've been on the world's GREATEST vacation with them (before kids) to Maui and ate like vikings, soaked up the sun with Maui babe (sooooo rad), and surfed together. That was more hysterical for Carrie and I since we don't know how to surf, really. I think we ended up laying on the beach while the guys trunked it in 80 degree water for like, 5 hours or something ridiculous like that. We have road tripped together, commuted together, and practically lived together. That's still the dream and C, the compound will one day happen!! We love them like family and love that we get to spend time together as families We can tell them anything and trust them immensely. And they shoot straight with us. Jason and Carrie are a true picture of friendship and love. We love you guys!
